Utrecht University: Involved, inspired, ambitious, and independent
Inspiration, ambition, independence, and involvement: these are the four ‘core values’ which should dictate the behaviour of students and staff at Utrecht University. The core values will not be presented as a ‘big bang’, but should evolve through practice.
This is argued by the Executive Board in a short document in which the core values were recently made public. The core values were agreed upon following a-year-and-a-half ‘discussion project’ and online survey.
According to the document, these core values will remain prominent by being given a significant role in internal and external communication. This means that all University media should reflect the core values in tone and in presentation.
